The quintessential music man, Eli Ball began his career as a producer and A&R guy. It was during that time that he guided a range of studio and live productions from award winning albums to large multi-day music festivals, working with acclaimed artists including Ray Charles, Santana, Lyle Lovett, Roseanne Cash and Herbie Hancock.
In the early 90’s, Eli’s studio became ground zero for the burgeoning Memphis underground scene, providing a creative home for future stars Al Kapone, DJ Paul (3-6 Mafia), 8-ball & MJG and The North Mississippi Allstars.
As his family grew, Eli wanted to spend more time at home to raise his 2 sons. He went back to school at the University of Memphis to begin a new career in finance. Yet, the music man couldn’t let go of the business completely. Eli realized he could use his financial knowhow to help the music community he loved – Then Lyric Financial was born.
Today, Eli uses his fluency in both the music business and finance to support financial innovation for the music industry.
