What is the difference between a loan and an advance?
Simply put, with a loan, you are responsible for making the payments and your songs are pledged as collateral. With an advance, you simply have your royalties redirected to Lyric Financial until the advance is repaid. The ownership of your songs is never at risk. There are no financial statements or legal due diligence. An advance is a good short-term solution...simple, safe and convenient.
Do I need a manager, attorney or accountant to represent me?
No. However, if you don't have one and would like some advice, we are more than happy to provide a list of affordable professionals.
