CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ENTERED!
The holidays are upon us, and Lyric Financial needs your help writing a jingle!
Entering is easy:
- Write a holiday jingle about Lyric Financial – 15 seconds to a minute or so (no musical skills? we’ll accept other forms of hilarious videos as well, so long as it’s Lyric Financial themed)
- Record your song on video – don’t worry, we’re more interested in song quality, not production quality
- Upload your song to YouTube! Hit that big ol’ button in the video above to submit your entry, or CLICK HERE. (NOTE: You need to be a registered YouTube user to upload. Don’t have an account? You can sign up here.)
On December 15, we’ll pick two videos – the one with the most YouTube “Likes,” and the one we like the most – and they’ll face off in a voting match to see which video is the awesomest. We’ll notify the contestants so they can share the link with their friends and rack up some votes!
One lucky winner will receive $500, courtesy of your friends at Lyric Financial. See official rules for details.
Need more help? Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to enter.
Step 1: Writing your song
This one’s up to you! Get creative, but be pithy – just a quick little ditty to show your love for Lyric Financial these holidays.
Step 2: Recording your song
There are many ways to do this:
- Use the camera on your phone to record yourself
- Use a Flipcam or other camcorder
- Use the webcam on your computer
- Fire up the ProTools rig
- Bring in a truck full of equipment and rent a soundstage and lighting crew and all that fun stuff (will not increase your chances of winning)
The important thing is that it looks and sounds good enough for us to judge your awesome creation. We’re far more interested in the content than the production quality.
Step 3: Submitting your song on YouTube
This one is probably the trickiest, so here are some step-by-step graphics to help you.
Step 3.1: Register for YouTube
If you’re already a registered YouTuber, you can skip this step. Otherwise, click here to register for a new YouTube account.
Step 3.2: Click here to submit your video
You’ll see a screen like this:
If you’ve already uploaded your video on YouTube, you can just select the video from the list on the right – otherwise you should click the “UPLOAD A VIDEO” link as indicated in the picture.
