I have the unique…if somewhat dubious…distinction of having been the very first client of Lyric Financial- the brain child of one Mr. R. Eli Ball. Eli was first introduced to me by a very good friend who runs the BMI office in London. I have a 30-year relationship as a writer with BMI. So to say that Eli came highly recommended would be an understatement. I like understatements.

In my very first conversation with Eli I discovered several things – He’s a funny guy. I like people who make me laugh. And he gets right to the point…rare. The way he described himself as “…having been there and having worn the jersey” told me one other thing. He missed it. He missed the music business…but he had borne an idea that I believe could save the music business – as we have known it – by bringing the creative individuals together with the business guys in a way no one would have ever dreamed possible…let the artists, the writers, the producers and publishers have their own money…in advance…when they need it. DYNAMITE!
